BEHIND THE LENS
I'm a professional photographer in the Kansas City Metro Area. My dad introduced me to photography when I was very young. I have been fascinated ever since. The most important luxury you can have is portraits and photographs that tell your story for future generations. Good photographs tell your story, the do not just consist of a selfie on a cell phone. Good photography brings the stories to life. My wedding and senior photography is a mix of directed portraits and lifestyle candid story telling. I feel it's important to capture both styles in my sessions. There are moments unfolding that should not be interrupted, I capture those without intrusion. I'm here to walk through every step with you. From the time you first contact me to the time you receive your art, you have my personal touch with you all the way.
MY 'why' behind
every photo
My dad was a hobbyist photographer. He was always the one with a camera or video camera in his hands. He always wanted to capture special moments, and those moments strung together told a story.
That is what I photograph. I photograph a story. The story can be one image, or many images. Each one captures a moment in time. My passion is photographing people within their story. On a wedding day it may be a look on a mother’s face watching her youngest daughter get her hair done. It may be the nervous look on a groom’s face right before he sees his bride for the first time, followed quickly by the look of elation as he sees her. It may be the tiny flower girl running up to her great grandpa. These moments are precious.

Above Mulberry Studios is a studio located at 1321 W 13th St. Kansas City, Missouri. The studio can be rented out by other photographers who are needing space to shoot their clients.
